View Full Version : Headphones?

I was looking into getting some headphones that aren't very expensive(<$30) and are durable with okay sound quality. The sound quality just has to be average.
If a mic is attached, that's good too but not entirely necessary.
Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should get? Also, it would be helpful if you posted an amazon link to the item.

The only headphones that I've ever been fully happy with are my Seinnheiser ones but they're over the head and were over £100 so I don't know much about below 30 dollars. I was looking to get some Seinnheiser in-ears though and on Amazon there's cheaper ones that look pretty good.

I also have Sennheisers. (Good taste, Abhorrence ) but mine are earbuds, and I really like them. But they are a bit more than $30. Here is the link for a newer version of what I have
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-II-Precision-Enhanced-Earbuds/dp/B001EZYMF4/ref=sr_1_3/179-8775590-3206927?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437497861&sr=1-3
Mine are pink (Hey, I like pink!) and they don't sell that anymore... sucks! I used to have some folding ones, same brand, that I loved because I could fold them and put them in my backpack. They finally broke, and they apparently don't make them any more.
If you want full size headphones, I am no help because every pair I ever owned got broken really quickly, which I expect would be a problem with any headphones in that price range.

Audio Technica makes very good, affordable headphones. They have some more expensive models but I got mine about 3 years ago for ~$40 and they still work great.

The cheapest ones I know are from Gumy and they've got the little squishy bits on the ends. They're only around £10 where I see them (not sure how many dollars that is but less than 30). I'm not sure about over the head ones though, as I've never had a pair.

Shockingly, this.
I've had a lot of different brand earbuds but for whatever reason my Apple earbuds have lasted forever, while others break in a few months. The sound quality is pretty good too.

I have some wireless headphones, I forgot which brand they are. Usually you can find a generic pair of those around 20-30 dollars.

I've used these (http://store.sony.com/step-up-ex-series-earbud-headset-zid27-MDREX110AP//cat-27-catid-All-Earbuds?vva_ColorCode=000000) Sony earbuds for a few months now, and they actually work really well for me. Cost around $30, and they've lasted a lot longer than normal for me

I use SB-270 over ear headphones by Soundbot. They're about $20-30, and they're wired/wireless. Not bad, I've had them for about seven months, and they still work fine.

I use mdr-zx310ap by Sony which are good headphones and there about £20 in some stores, or the latest Apple earphones are by far the best piece of headset for music

I have a pair of Sony studio headphones that I got at Target for 20 bucks. They're nice, because I can't stand earbuds and they have great sound quality.
(Sony MDR-ZX100, if you're looking.)

I would recommend UrbanEars, since they are really awesome for the price. I have the most expensive model, which was like 120$. They are much better than Beats Solo.
