I've known this girl for a around 3 years and have never really had feelings for her. She has been over to my house a bit in the time I and my sister have known her, and just recently I started liking her. A lot. I think she likes me too but I'm not 100% sure. I have her phone number and stuff and have talked to her in person a bit, but I don't know how to take it any further. Should I text her? If yes, what should I say? Also, it's a 2 year age difference, I'm a Junior and she's a Freshman. Thanks for reading and any advice.

It's a tricky situation. I guess you are good with your sis, so ask her for advice. If not, call her up and ask if she would like the two of you to hang out.

I dunno what Junior and Freshman ages really are since I'm not American so if you could say that, that would be helpful. But either way I think you should ask your sister if she would be okay with you possibly dating her friend because you don't wanna make your relationship with your sister awkward or take her friend away from her. Also, if she is okay with it maybe you could find out some things this girl likes and well find out if she does actually like you because friends usually tell each other things.

I was in and am yet again in a similar situation. I had liked my big brothers best friend, Brendan. I had known him for 5 years. I made the mistake of dating him behind my brothers back. thanks to a really painful breakup and my brother finding out, my brother and Brendan no longer talk. Now I am dating my little brothers friend, but this time Isaac had asked permission from my little brother to date me. So even though Isaac and I are a thing now, it actually brought my brother and Isaac closer together.

I would let your sister know your feelings and make sure she's comfortable with it first. I imagine that having her brother date her best friend has potential to be awkward. That's not necessarily the case, but still, she may see it that way. It's best to check.

Also, depending on how close they are, and how much time they spend together, your sister could develop concerns about how much time she loses with her friend, and even you, if the two of you start to date. Again, this is just my imagination, but I think it's beyond possible. I don't know how likely it is, but I would talk with her about it.

After that's done, and if everything is cool with you and your sis, it shouldn't be that difficult to make a move at that point. You've known the girl for a while now, and I'm sure she's comfortable enough with you to appreciate your feelings for her. Just let her know semi-casually and honestly, and if it's meant to be, then she'll return the sentiment. Best of luck to you.

Try to talk to your sister about it and she will probably help you out with that if she does help you or tries to make you back away from that girl its because they probably already talked about you

I'd say check with your sis first, and if she's cool with it, go for it
