I sometimes feel like i'm weird cos i'm 13 but i like lots of old stuff when it comes to music. i like some 60s stuff and 70s, 80s My black friend from school played me some Nina Simone a few months ago when i was hanging out at his place, as his mum is a big fan and so is he.

I really liked her, more than i like Lady Gaga or Rihanna (i like them too) but Nina's songs have real power

I've never admitted to any of my mates that i like this stuff incase they take the piss.

Dude, it's really wwaaayyy more common than you think to like old music. And that's fine, unless you become someone who complains about modern music and only praises old music, because those people are annoying.

You're right around the age where a lot of people your age are branching out into different music tastes, so some of your friends may also start liking the same music, and if they don't it shouldn't matter.

No chance of that happening, i love lots of recent stuff too. Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon, Jake Bugg, Sharon Van Etten, London Grammar, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, maccabees....loads of stuff:)
