So frustrated

OK so in 20 (21 in three months) and my family believe opening my mail Is an OK thing to do.

Its so frustrating because it was my bank records and it had someone that gave me 200 dollars to help me out. So NY mother yells at me for it and so i get in trouble.

I've got other major problems etc that I keep getting in trouble for and now mum wants me to go to see a psychiatrist etc for "Help".

I guess I'm feeling down because I have no control over my life and definitely no privacy. I can't even leave the house without saying exactly what I'm doing without getting in trouble.

Like if she saw this post i would get in serious trouble, that's how bad it is at the moment.

Mate i have a strict dad who controls me heavily but i'm 13 and can't do anything about it yet, you're nearly 21 so an adult. It's unacceptable that they invade your privacy at your age. I'd think about moving out if i were you. Can you do that? If you're in a position to i would do it

Opening someone elses mail is a criminal offence in the uk ( i don't know about Australia) even my dad doesn't open my mail and he has my grounded for the rest of the summer for a minor scrap with a boy at school, searches my room regularly to see if i have anything i shouldn't have in there, puts heavy parental controls on my computer, checks my phone to see what i've been upto.....thats how bad he is but even he doesn't open my mail!

Due to my actions and habits I cannot move out as I'm dead poor :( but I wish I could.

sounds like you are in one hell of a position. can you rent a postal box away from home to have your mail sent to? at 21, though you are living at home, there should be some boundaries and a certain level of respect between your parents and you. If you are stuck in that situation for the time being... I dont know what to tell you, but if you ever want to talk...

Well it's gotten that bad I'm seeing a psychiatrist :(
