I don't think that is very cool at all man. it is up to you if you continue, but these things have a way of getting out to other people and if your friend did find out, it is very possible you would lose him as a friend

I don't think that this is very nice, or a good idea. Considering the immediacy of the breakup, going straight into sexual contact isn't very considerate of your best friend. Also, as Uniquemind says, be wary of this girl, considering her immediate initiation of sexual contact, and the lack of communication of this to your friend.
All in all, I don't think that this is a good idea.

I'm not saying it's entirely a bad thing to get with your friends ex, especially if their relationship wasn't serious. But not only did you do this behind his back, you did it literally right after they broke up. That's not cool.

I heard from a guy friend that the one rare exception to that rule was if marriage was involved then a guy can marry (and therefore sleep with) a bro's ex if they know ahead of time the person is someone they want til death do they part. (No divorce allowed).

I personally wouldn't even consider doing this. But regardless of if I disagree or not, this is your choice. Just make sure you weigh out the pros and cons of doing such a thing, like losing your best friend in what could be a pretty nasty fight.

Haha. This is of course great for moment it happening. But this is not best future idea, it is very likely this could be end of friendship. Now that is not great. Consider that this is not long after best friend and woman separate. Now in Finland, we call that woman a huora.
