Brett Favre was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame tonight. He also had his number retired. He was the first player in Packer's history to have both happen in the same night. It is very likely he will go into the NFL Hall of Fame next year, since it will be his first year of eligibility to do so.
I am a huge Packers fan and although I was not alive for Favre's greatest years as a Packer, he really helped put the team back on the map after they only won one play off game between 1969-1993. He is my all time favorite athlete and is why I wanted to play football (though I am a running back). I was stoked to see him get inducted.
Many may not know after 16 seasons with the Packers, there was a messy departure. A lot of it was definitely his fault, but neither side did a good job.
After 7 years, it is like he never left. I realize this may only be important to me, but I was really happy watching it tonight and just figured I would share it. For love him, hate him ,or don't know him, he is one of the best QB's in NFL history. He gave so much to the Packers and it was good to see him come back home to be a part of the Packers family again
