it all depends on the type of girl she is... that is what i can say. some girls go for mainly appearances yet most like to have someone with a good personality and looks do not matter.
has she shown any signs of liking you as more than a friend

Keep up with the exercise for general health and everything, but in the long run make sure you just be yourself, be sincere, and about all be kind and friendly to the opposite sex and look for hints that they like you back. Keeping that up; it should be a lot easier to figure out who actually likes you for YOU.

I agree with the others, it is good to stay fit and healthy by exercising but you should be doing it for yourself, not for a girl.

I have no idea whether you are fat or not, but that really isn't a reason not to ask a girl out. If she likes you then why should it matter?

I have a question though...
Say you were to ask her now and she turned you down, then you lost some weight and you asked her again and she said yes, would you still want to be with her and/or see how things worked out? Or wouldnt you want to be with someone who values looks over everything else?
