After this summer I an being shipped off to high school. Well I wouldn't say shipped. I'm just going to high school and I have no idea how to high school. I really don't know anyone who has been or whatever. So what I'm asking for is some advice. Like what to look out for or whatever if that's possible. Thanks

It's not terribly different. My advice would be if you're not a great student, to shape up now to the best of your ability. Freshman year isn't terribly important, but it does go on the transcript that colleges will see and it will get factored into your GPA. Don't push yourself too much, though. Be okay with receiving some less than stellar grades every now and then. Learn how you can improve, but don't think that much of anything hinges on those occasional bad grades (learn from me, I cried over an 84 on a history test in freshman year and it was not worth it and didn't emotionally prepare me for grades I'd get later on). You might also want to start looking into extracurricular activities (including clubs and sports) or volunteering if you haven't or don't already. You're probably a little limited by your age, which is okay, but if you can find things you might want to do later on that you can't do now, you won't be floundering when you get there.

^ pretty much this. High school is nothing to worry about. the work is sometimes harder and there are more people there, but I think you will quickly realize the transition is nothing too extreme and nothing to worry about

The best way to predict the future is to understand the past. What I mean, what was your grade school experience like? Did you make friends easily? Did you do ok in school? Did you have troubled times? Did you participate in any activities? It would be helpful to understand what your track record has been before giving you advice on how to approach high school.

I'll start off by saying that I'm not American and I have no idea about the school system there but I didn't find my transition into secondary school that difficult. I made new friends pretty quick because a lot of people were new and we were forced to either socialise or be alone. I also didn't find the work difficult, but I think you have to keep up a good work ethic the entire time because when it does get hard or important then you won't be prepared. So just work hard, I guess.

Don't worry about it. You will meet new people who will become your friends. I can tell you one thing High School is much better than Middle School. Just go into expecting to have fun and join in on the sports, clubs, dances, and all the other fun stuff.
