Ok so im a little lost in what to do right now. I am a rower and ive been rowing for 4 years now. I was injured in the fall and am just coming back from the injury. But recently at my boathouse things have happened and changed that make me not want to come back anymore. Coaches favortize boats all the time and dont care about the other one. We do not recieve the proper training that we should and soo much more. My team is falling apart. I have been at this place since I started rowing and I love the place and the people there but I feel like with everything going on it is time to go. My problem is the nearest boathouse is really bad and the next closest good boathouse is 45min away. I would like to go there but im worried about the drive and not only that but im afraid to talk to my parents about it cause they are in love with the boathouse and i feel they would never let me leave. they even deny all the problems in the boathouse whenever i bring them up. I dont know what to do. Any help or suggestions would be great.

You sound like you're in quite a sticky situation. I'd say, if you're about the same age as the other boathouse members, that you try and bring some order back. Perhaps you suggest challenging workouts to get the team back into shape. Talk to a coach on the side and tell them that you think your team may need some extra coaching. But I don't think leaving the boathouse would be a good solution until you feel like you've done all you can to bring order back to it. Personally, I would need some bit of closure to make me feel like I at least tried to stay. Worst case scenario you get the courage and tell your parents you aren't very happy with the work being done at the boathouse and that you'd feel much better attending a different boathouse. Just try and work something out and remember it's not your fault, everything changes. Unfortunately, the performance of your team changed.

Hope I helped a bit, good luck!
