Hello... I have a broken nail (it's broken in the middle of my nail) and it's still attached... should I leave it there?

Ouch, it looks painful, go to a doctor to get it looked at

It must be painful but don't worry it will grow back. Go to a doctor, you'll have to get it bandaged.

It doesn't look like there's a cut or any bleeding, so you're good as far as any risk for infection goes. Bandage it up and leave it for now, eventually it will fall off on its own, or the nerve endings will die off and you can remove it with little pain.

I wouldn't say it's serious enough for a doctor honestly. If you have some nail clippers, gently remove your nail, maybe put some antibiotic ointment cream on it, and then bandage it. It will take some time, but it will grow back.

That's happened to me before, I wouldn't try to take it off, it'll probably be quite painful and there might be a bigger chance of the nail becoming ingrown when it does grow back. I'd bandage it up yourself just to keep the nail in place and just wait it out until its long enough to take off. Just remember to strap it up well so that it's not jolted when you wear shoes and walk.

A similar thing happened to me once, except part of it broken off entirely. Trust me, you don't wanna break it off (Pro tip: if you ever get an unexplicable urge to put your finger in a pencil sharpener, don't do it). It'll probably heal fine.

I agree, I see no real need for a doctor unless it becomes infected or something. as some others have said, you may not even have to take it off
