So, this is pretty neat. I honestly didn't know there was a ban on this and it seems really counterproductive to have one in my opinion. Of course, I'm sure they'll come to their senses and remove it once they've thoroughly inspected the change. We're on a role since the gay marriage ruling :D

I really feel uncomfortable with this as someone enlisted in our military. I know this may sound rude, but I'd feel uncomfortable having a woman, regardless of how much she looks or acts like a man, shower and bunk next to me. While I think it's odd, I'm fine with people who claim to be transgender, but this is the military we're talking about. I'm glad that they are willing to enlist in our armed forces, but I'd rather it be something along the lines of "Don't Ask Don't Tell". Also, I don't agree that the military should be responsible for the payment for surgery/hormonal treatment.

But hey, when does my opinion ever mean anything?
