Long distance relationship

Sooo I don't normally come here cause I haven't had a reason to but..now I do

I've recently found myself in a long distance relationship. I love this girl more than anything. The reason I've come here is to ask those of you in long distance relationships how you make it work or work better I should say. Some tips to make it more special I guess. We already text a lot and talk on snapchat video chat at night but anything else you suggest?

Hand written letters. I know, in this day and age who does it. but it says something special and personal. any little gift you might be able to send (even flowers from a shop near her). other then that, besides trying to occasionally see them in person and what you are already doing, there is not much you can do. I do wish you good luck though

As incredibly bitter and opposed to long-distance relationships as I am, Seth hit the nail on the head, flowers and other signs of affection work well in LDR's because it makes you two feel closer than you actually are.

you have to see her in person first, you cant be sure if its gonna work out before you saw her. even if you tell ourselves how your love will transcand space and time, the "real life" test can be the only one to tell if it's gonna work or not. Appart from that, id say dont have like 3 weeks pauses between your past exhanges, trust her, and try things to do online.

Video chat at night. Like the webcam is on as you sleep? I used to do that. We also read visual novels together on skype screen share (reading sentences back and forth) and RPG maker games like Witch's House, Ib, Mad Father, Star Stealing Prince. Stuff like that. This may not appeal to you tho.
