Depends what your comparing it to.

The fact the you've cause your body's support to break is bad.

Some people snap it in several places and shatter the whole bone, next to them your's is not impressive at all.

Ask the doctor. How does mine measure up to what you usually see?

Well this type of fracture can be bad, but the fact that they let you go home with just a sling tells me that there probably not that worried about it.

Don't shove anythin in there!!! It could ruin your arm, try and wiggle your cast slightly, if it hurts, STOP IMMEDIATELY, if it works, keep trying, if it doesn't, try applying pressure where it itches.

It's ok to take something like a popsicle stick, or an UNSHARPENED pencil and GENTLY scratch the itch, but if it hurts at all, stop. You're not going to stop your arm from healing, or re-break it once it starts to heal, but if an area is sensitive it's not good to make it angry. In the times I've broken my arm though, I found that after a certain point you get good at ignoring the itch a bit. Don't use anything that could easily break off, and try not to get anything stuck in there (doctors see that kind of thing fairly often, but they have to remove the cast to get the object out, and then put on a new one). And, like I said, do it gently. Since you can't see your skin through the cast, you don't really know if you're hurting yourself until you've broken the skin.

I hope your arm feels better soon!

Ok, true, don't shove anything in there out of desperation because it itches really bad, because your skin hasn't gotten air, it could be really thin and cause a cut.

I wasn't allowed to get my cast wet the way it was
so for over 6 weeks i couldn't wash it much
and omfg
it smelled so bad

Ya....

I ignored the itch
Usually by causing physical pain elsewhere or doing something that made me focus
