I plan on shaving/trimming down there for the first time. I did use scissors back in 2012 when my hairs started coming in but have cutting a bit (less than a cm) of skin, I told myself I was better off letting all the hair grow.
Now it is a forrest, somewhat, down there. I have a razor + shaving cream (came in a travel go-pack) and my dad used to use this http://www.conair.com/rechargeable-cord-cordless-22-piece-haircut-kit-p-1079-54_17_147.html to cut my brother and my hair but we no longer use it. So I could also use that (if you guys recommend it)
Should I shave or trim? Or Should I just let it grow? Any advice is appreciated!

I think that shaving completely is pretty itchy, and that it can be slightly unsanitary because your hairless pores can be vulnerable to infection. Trimming will probably be more comfortable, imo.

I've shaved since I started puberty, just don't like hair there
Find the hair very uncomfortable, and itchy myself
Shaving has shown no health issue so far for me and very comfortable, especially when hot
I'd start with scissors just don't cut that close as usually do, wash real good with disinfectant soda and water, use a moisturizing gel, light coat and shave the rest off rinsing the shaved hair after each pass, it will build up that hast
It may take a couple times if it's that thick, just take ur time, and shave with the grain
You may feel a little itchy after or if the hair starts to grow back, some of that ull get used to
But some talcum powder, baby powder gold bond or lotion will help
Over time the itch won't be as bad
Good luck!!

I'd start with trimming first. If you don't like it then shave it.

Trim first it will be to hard to shave if you don't trim before hand. Do whatever your preference is and experiment

I started with trimming to make it look neat, so i would suggest that as a start; if you dont like it trimmed, then you can always shave it and i wold recommend using the electric shaver to shave and not a razor - especially if you are afraid of cutting yourself.

I've shaved a few times and regretted it every time, I always end up super itchy! Now I just use the clippers we bought to shave the dog and trim the hair right down, much tidyer and it doesn't itch at all. Good luck! :)

Start out with trimming and see how that works out. And then later move on to actual shaving. Be careful and I recommend using something other than scissors, which can be dangerous. After shaving possibly use a moisturizer in order to prevent itching. Don't be surprised if you itch some, it's very common after a shave anywhere.

I usually trim mine but I shave once in a while. Shaving will cause itchy but only last for a or two. I recommend trim first and try shave after. Try both and see which one you like.

I'd say trim. Keeps your manhood and prevents ingrown hairs.
