So just turning 14 years old, is tanner stage 3.1 a good spot for me to be at?

Well, people have different growth rate. Different people have different growth rate. Tanner stage is the average stage of people. So only you know what stage you are in . Dont worry you are growing.

You are about to turn 14. You're fine! Puberty is a waiting game, it doesn't happen all at once. You'll keep growing until early 20's but everyone is different and grows at different rates.

People definitely are at different rates,I'm 15 and I'm at like a 4.8 so I'm almost done with puberty but I'm still growing taller.

You sound fine to me, and the fact of the matter is that one way or the other you will be where you need to be by the time you are out of high school. Between 7th grade and junior year is a tough time for most guys because some grow really big quickly while others are gradual growers. I would have much rather been like you growing gradually and understanding what is happening rather than growing really big quickly but not being mentally mature.

All you can do now is to make sure you are eating rightly such as drinking milk, not eating too much junk food, and making sure you stay away from drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. I know it gets so frustrating when everyone tells you that you will catch up, but those of us who have been down your road know what will happen. You'll be fine, and even if you're small now it's just going to be temporary. There are so many advantages to being your size not the least of which is not having much body maintenance.

You're at around the same level as me, maybe even a little ahead of me, and i'm 15.

Try not to worry too much about it, things happen at different speeds for different people, some grow really fast and are done with puberty by like 15, but other people (like me), start later and grow more slowly. I wouldn't let it bother you c:

So what exactly is the tanner stage??

The Tanner Stage is a chart that people can use to figure out where they are in puberty. Every stage in puberty has a number on the Tanner Chart.

I'm 15 years and 1 month old and my tanner stage number thing is 3.9, so I think you're pretty normal

People go through the Tanner stage at different rates, usually it's hard to tell what's average.

I'm the the same age as you and I'm stage 4 but I'm quite far into puberty so you're doing okay.
