If your mom can get to know through anyone that you came out as bi on ig, then it would be better to let her know because she might get upset you chose to let others know before you told her.
If you're sure she's not gonna know then take your time and tell her whenever you feel comfortable.

If you want to come out, then take it slowly, and expect a knee-jerk reaction. A lot of parents freak out at the thought of their child coming out. Initiate dialogue, speak to her about the psychology behind it, and invite her to ask questions. Communication is the foundation of any good relationship, so be honest and speak your mind.

Moms are kinda funny that way, but you know she will love you regardless of what you come out as. Take your time with her and follow her lead, for all you know, she may already have an idea about your sexuality and is just waiting for you to tell her. Dont be afraid, just be patient, you will know when the time is right.
