This is long distance.

Long story short. We met on a video game, and I would say we are dating because we talk to each other like we are. We stay up late hours in the night playing this specific game together. Our messages would look like that (below).
That's actually the most recent one she sent to me.

We talk everyday. All day.

Good morning, sweetheart ^_^ Did you sleep well? I sure did I'll have an awesome day at work for you, I promise ^_^ I'll think about you all day. I hope I'll talk to you this afternoon I love you, babe <3 ^_^

I even referred to her as my girlfriend to her face three times and she is okay with it. However, it hasn't been "official."

I was just going to randomly ask her when we talk tonight. Is that a good idea?
Would there be any other suggestions?

How far apart are the two of you?

And I think you should just ask her, I mean like it seems like you're pretty comfortable with talking in a certain way now anyways so it's not too much of a stretch to just ask the question. :P

Relationships are based on communication, so speak to her about it!
You're clearly comfortable with speaking to each other already, so go ahead and ask her whether they want to make it 'official' or not.
Speak it out, and have a good time while doing so.

Yup. And even if it's not catfishing, if you can't meet at least weekly, I don't think you should try to make her your girlfriend. You seem to like her as your teammate anyways, I recommend you it stays that way.

Lol dude, I think she's been your girlfriend for a long time. Also, there's no reason long-distance can't work. It is tougher, but love is worth it.
