Correct way to measure?

So, I know by 18y/o I should probably know the correct way to measure my junk. BUT I never really learned the real correct way to measure lol.

SO, What is the correct way to measure both length and girth?

Its really not that important but anyway:

Get a ruler or tape measure and put it along the top of your dick while standing/upright. If you measure from the bottom then you cant really tell where your balls start and your dick ends. Also, pull your foreskin back so you can see your end.

Get 1 of those loose measures that is used for sewing (name escapes me) and wrap it around the widest part of your weeman. Dont put it too tight just tight enough it is in contact all the way around
