I recognize that after having sexual intercourse I feel satisfied much longer (usually 1 - 2 days, until I really need an orgasm again) than after masturbating (usually only 3 - 5 hours). Also petting to orgasm with a girl lasts longer (usually 12 - 24 hours) than doing it myself. And mutual masturbation with a girl as well (usually 6 - 12 hours).

Masturbation is definitely not a substitution for sex. It's a type of sex. And every kind of sex is different in how it feels.

I feel satisfied longest when the orgasm is intense. A quick wank in the school restroom gives me a couple hours. A good long edging session laying on my bed gives me most of a day. I'm not real experienced in sex, but I think the intensity of the orgasm is really what makes the difference.

Having an intimate sexual relationship with someone you love or really care about will be far more satisfying and lasting than exchanging HJ's with a friend or just jacking off alone. Do you regard masturbation only as a substitute for sex? Not really. Sex cannot replace masturbation and vice versa. Ofcourse, having sex is great and awesome but sometimes you just can't be satisfied completely. On the other hand, while masturbating you are in position to do whatever satisfies you and you know best what to do, but it lacks variety and exploring other persons body that only sex can provide you.

Do you regard masturbation only as a substitute for sex? Not really, its just something I like doing. I have a pretty high sex drive so would even masturbate the same day as having sex. Then again if the opportunity to have sex appears, then I wouldn't masturbate before.
