My Hair

I have long hair, I've had it long like this for about ten years now and I think its time to go short. But I am nervous about not liking the end result, but I want to do it. I can't think of any possible styles of hair that would fit me, if anyone had an ideas about what might go well with me.

I recently made the change to short hair, and like it a lot better. Mine was never realllllly long, like not onto my shoulders or anything. But enough to cover my ears and hang onto my shirt collar, pretty much like yours is.

I guess it depends on what you like and the shape of your face, but I like it short now. And its a lot easier to take care of.

Your hair is nice as it is because it isn't too long but if you do want to change it to short, you don't necessarily have to change the style up completely. You could just have it cut in the same style but shorter. You can always go gradually as well, you can always have more hair taken off you just can't have more put on. :P

My hair was long enough that it came to my nose around the sides, and i got a 3 around the sides so now it is probably and inch long, with a pretty long fringe which i gel up, and i like it a lot. It all depends on styling, dont get a skinhead, thats an important rule

I would do a regular 2 on the sides, and ask the barber the length you'd like to trim off at the top, but don't make it too short, otherwise you won't like it and the only way to get it longer is to wait it out.

I've always had relatively short hair, but I tell the barber to only give it a trim on the top (rather than using clippers).

Short hair is worth a shot, especially being Summer now.

Since hair always grows back, if you don't like it, you can always try a different style next time?

Try cutting your hair short. If you don't like it, then it'll always grow back.

I would cut it in stages yourself and if you don't like it... Stop. When you get to a length you like get a hairdresser to neaten it up for you and turn it into a proper haircut. That way, you get the length you want.
