So I haven't touched a piano since I was like 8.
I've been playing the cello for 8 years.
I'm pretty musically talented.
Do you think I could pick it up again? Or am I too old?

Yeah, definitely. I think piano is really easy to get back into, I played a lot when I was around 10 and 11 and only recently started like five years later and it was easy to get back into. :)
I think even if you had no knowledge of piano then you can still get into it pretty quickly, it isn't a difficult thing to play. Obviously start simple and then build up.

I played for a couple years when I was about 7 and picked it back up in year 7 (age 11?). I played the flute for the duration of that time so reading the treble clef was easy but the reading bass clef I've always found difficult.
Picking it back up again is pretty easy, as said above. It's just memorising where your fingers go. The challenging bit is learning to read and then sight read the music whilst simultaneously moving both hands and being able to use the pedels in the right places.
Like you, I've been considered pretty musically talented yet I didn't practice at all and even after 4 years from the age of 11-15 I hadn't progressed much at all. If you don't practice, you'll find it infinitely more difficult than you might otherwise.

Why does it matter if you will pick it up easily? If you want to do it, and it would be awesome if you did, just do it. If it takes some extra work because it's been so long, so what? You'll still be doing what you love.

I dont believe there is really an age where you are entirely unable to learn to play a musical instrument.
So yea, go for it!!

Yep, if your body can handle it, you can play an instrument. Sure, starting younger gives you a slight advantage, but that advantage really isn't that big as people make it out to be.

You're never too old. My uncle took his first piano lesson at like 50. If you want to, then go for.it.
