Do you have a list of bands you like or lastfm? Makes it easier to give suggestions. Anyway:

Aviation and the War - Glass Bottom Boat - Indie/Alt Rock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Of3HnA5Ik8 If you like it listen to their entire albums Haste.

The Strips - Mountainside - Garage Rock https://soundcloud.com/thestrips/02-mountainside Their entire debut EP is suberb.

These Septic Stars - Adder - Experimental Alternative, kind of a weird RATM vibe experimental alternative https://soundcloud.com/thesesepticstars/adder

Sound of a Smirk - Oxytocin - Indie-Alt-Emo-ish https://soundcloud.com/soundofasmirk/oxytocin

You probably already know it, but Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine is a pretty great rock album.

Those are of the top of my mind

Lately I've been really into Woods of Ypres, especially stuff from their last album.
Powerwolf is amazing.
Primus.
Just off the top of my head

Country <3 A lot of the great recent stuff is country pop, bur for "proper" country I love Ashley Monroe and Kacey Musgraves. But they're both kinda mainstream so you'll likely have heard of those if you like country haha.

Oh - also Brandy Clarke! Stupidly underrated <3

By country I meant along the lines of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Hank Jr.
