So I recently converted my sister's old laptop into a freedos gaming machine, I don't have many games yet, but I want to expand my collection.
So far my favorite has to be quake, do you guys play any classic DOS or 95/98 era games? What's your favorite? Is there an old game you want to play?

Have you ever heard of Wolfenstein 3D? It's a whole series of games and I used to love to play them as a kid. In the boss level of one of them, you fight Satan with a Gatling gun. That part used to scare the shit out of me, but it was great. You could probably find them for free online somewhere and I think they're available on Steam pretty cheap.

Chip's Challenge was the bomb, but I haven't played it in years.

I had a really awesome Scooby Doo computer game in like 2000 but I can't remember the exact name of it. Backyard Baseball is also the best game ever, just sayin' :P

DOOM is an extremely fun early 90s PC release that set the bar for FPS games and holds up very well to this day. It's fast paced and bright colour scheme aesthetic honestly has it stand out compared to the bleak looking stale controls many FPS games have these days.

I have the collector's edition D!Zone disk with 300 levels. -whistles-
although I believe it is abandonware so I might host it on my site when it goes online on webnesday or thursday. But I have to check the laws regarding the uploading of abandonware first.

I would love to see pretty much any version of Carmen Sandiego eventually released for iOS or Android. I know I'm a nerd for that, but well....yeah. I'll play the hell out of it.

Doom, Quake, and pretty much every 2.5D FPS is great. Especially Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3D. In terms of RPGs, anything in relation to Dungeons and Dragons (i.e, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate) is essential along with stuff like Fallout 1 and 2.

I've played Doom and Doom 2. I like Doom 2 a bit better, since it's got the sawn-off shotgun. :D
