Leggings, pants or not pants?

There is this trend lately where girls are starting to wear leggings as pants. What is your opinion on this trend?

Leggings cover your ass and legs, they're pants. I personally don't like wearing them, but other people can do what they want. Not my business. Some people can really rock leggings though.

Im a boy and i think its unfair you have been keeping leggings from us, theyre the comfiest things ever. I put on a pair of my friends as a joke and ended up stealing them because theyre great.

They are pretty tight which causes some problems for boys that arent there for girls though

I wear yoga pants. If I wear a super short mini-skirt, my parents make me wear tights with it. The BF actually likes the short skirt with tights look so that is usually what I'll wear unless it's too hot then I go without.

I think that they look a bit cheap personally. I think that jeans look more "cool" but legginings are oh so comfy.

I don't think they were originally intended to be used just as pants, but rather for layering, but meh, they're pants. I mean I wouldn't wear long underwear out of the house and they're pretty similar, but whatever. I still consider them to be pants because well... They're pants...
