Sticks, rocks and boomerangs were used during an alcohol-fuelled fight involving about 40 people in the Northern Territory.
Seven people were arrested following the fight shortly before 11pm (CST) on Saturday night.
About 40 people had gathered at the Myatt Turnoff at Timber Creek, police said in a statement on Monday.
"It is understood a group of people were consuming alcohol at the turnoff, when they became involved in a verbal altercation with a separate group who had been consuming alcohol nearby," it said.
During the melee, some of the men and women armed themselves with sticks, rocks and boomerangs.
Police dispersed the two groups and conducted patrols of the area to make sure the troublemakers had returned to their communities.
On Sunday, police arrested five men aged between 18 and 38 and two women aged 26 and 48 for numerous offences, including engaging in violent conduct, disorderly behaviour in a public place, going armed in public and breach of bail.
Two of the offenders were remanded in custody to appear in the Katherine Court on Monday.
