Which in your opinion is better for a teenager, so that he/she loses weight and gets ripped ?

It depends, I'm not sure that kickboxing alone will get you ripped, but it's definitely a good workout. If you're looking to put on muscle mass and definition I recommend going to the gym, but kickboxing can help make you more lean and defined too.

So you start with kickboxing and then move on to gym

Honestly both are good,i'd start with weights ,stretching and road work first for a few months,then when you are in good condition from that also start doing kickboxing.

Kickboxing is a great and fun cardio-style workout with the benefit that it helps your mobility and flexibility too but if you want to bulk up a bit, you need to hit the gym and do some targeted weight training and stuff like that.
