Is it healthy to get a belly button piercing? will it leave a bad scar later on in life?

I don't believe it's unhealthy to get a belly button piercing. It's just the same as an ear piercing, lip piercing, nose piercing, tongue piercing, ect.
It may leave a scar/mark later on, but nothing extreme. And most likely it'll be hardy noticeable due to the fact that piercings are small. (The decorations are not affecting anything)
I honestly see nothing wrong with getting a piercing, so go get it! :) :)
Dont forget to show it!! (JK :D)

I think as long as you keep your bellybutton rings clean and when you first get the piercing you clean it properly and keep the ring in for the recommended amount of time it should all be fine.

If it gets infected then it can lead to scarring and sometimes the body can reject a piercing which may also leave a scar.

I definitely wouldn't say that it's unhealthy, if you do it safely.
If you get a piercing, make sure to have it done by a professional at a shop that prioritizes cleanliness and uses sterile equipment. Also, try and get surgical steel navel jewellery to start out. Make sure to ask your piercer how to take care of it, and give it the full 6months to heal before trying to change it in order to avoid infection.
If you take care of the piercing, the risk of infection is greatly reduced and scarring should be minimal. The marks made by the piercing should be pretty small, and because of the way that they are usually pierced, a lot of the times only one of the two holes is visible slightly above the belly button. I think that they're really pretty and I'd say go for it, they're pretty low-risk!
