Last night I was extremely tired so I decided to lay down. I was laying there in bed and all of a sudden my body got stiff and I couldn't move at all I could only wiggle my toes and I couldn't even talk. I wasn't sleep cause after a few minutes I could move and stuff and also I was completely aware of my surroundings and my eye's were wide open. Later on it happened again and I was very scared. Anyone else have something similar to this happen?

Sounds a bit like sleep paralysis. It usually happens upon waking up, but it can happen while falling asleep as well (that's when it happens to me). Often, people describe not being able to move for a few minutes, and many also say they feel as if someone is on top of them, making it hard for them to breathe. When it happens to me, I'm just drifting off to sleep, and I'll try to shift position only to realize that I can't. My limbs feel very heavy and almost tingly, and sometimes it really freaks me out. I find though that if I just remind myself that it'll go away, and try to think about something else, it doesn't bother me so much. It also seems to happen to me more often when I'm really tired, I've noticed.

Ah, yeah, it's creepy when you try to do things while being stuck like that, I agree. It's probably some form of sleep paralysis though, I think, so don't worry too much about it. I don't know how often it happens for most people, but I know for me it's no more than once every few weeks.

I agree with Jessie, it's probably just sleep paralysis. In the simplest terms, your mind wakes up faster than your body does.
