Underwear and summer

Hi guys, I want to know if some of you wear underwear with shorts when go to swim...I think it's stupid because the short has a lining and the underwear get wet. It's some kind of underwear that dries quickly?
And the second question: In summer I sweat a lot and the underwear ( I wear boxer briefs) gets very wet....it's better in briefs? What underwear do you wear in summer?

Wet shots will cling to my privates and is embarrasing
With girls around can get an erection and briefs will hide it.
Keep my privates away from irritating sand in sea..
After swimming can take the shorts off have a wash and hang in the room in my briefs for them to dry up..get into my jeans...go home.!!!

In hot climes..briefs let better air circulation and absorb less sweat...less fungal infections and less smell...IMO boxer briefs are the worst cos they cling and absorb sweat...make a large, good ground for germs to grow.

I wear my swimming shorts without undies. When it´s hot outside I prefer walking around in just my shiny Adidas gym shorts without undies or for school I wear my pants also without underwear :)

For swimming I tend to wear my boxer briefs under my swimming shorts because my pool never heats up enough and I hate the feel of the cold water against them so they offer like a warmth layer. And for when in summer. Half the time im commando the other half i have boxer breifs on.

I don't wear any underwear with my swimming trunks, because they have the netting inside and who cares if it clings to my privates ;)

As for with shorts, I just wear boxer briefs like I would normally, as shorts are no different to trousers at the top really

When I swim, I usually wear a speedo. If I have trunks on, I might wear a speedo under them sometimes.
If I am going to the beach or a place where I will wear boardies or trunks, and if they have a lining, I don't wear underwear under them. But I wear briefs under them if they don't have a lining.

I don't know why people wear underwear under swim trunks. I think it's uncomfortable, but honestly I still do it because that's just the style where I live. I don't think it makes a big difference

it's the style for guys wear i live too, but i don't because as you say it's uncomfortable and really don't care what anyone thinks.

I don't wear underwear at all in general, so my answer would be go commando in both and then go commando in general

I like wearing boxer briefs because i find them incredibly comfortable and i've recently brought some quickdrying, moisture wickeningboxer briefs i found them reletively cheap in primark if you live in the uk that is. I shall probably start going commando soon. :D

In summer, I wear shorts and no underwear (commando) cause otherwise you get all sweaty and that's not a nice feeling

If I am wearing a swimming short then I don't wear anything underneath it, because as you say there is lining which has the same function as underwear. And I usually wear boxerbriefs but i have a couple of briefs as well. In the summer they are about the same when you sweat. The only thing that I do when they get wet is to get them washed as soon as possible. Perhaps boxers are better when dealing with sweat?

You don't need to wear anything if your swim trunks have a liner, and if your undies get sweaty in summer, you might want to wear something moisture wicking from under armor.

In my area, guys either wear swimming trunks (with net and without underwear) which I find uncomfortable, OR board shorts with or without compression shorts.

I wear compression shorts with board shorts because it dries quick and you don't have to worry about anything showing.
