There are easier ways to accomplish reform without insurrection. Change with in the current political system. If people cared enough to try, the world might be better, at least a little. But that might be hard, so... revolution (unsuccessful) might be another option.

Yes, America is not what it used to be, but going with am attack on the government will make the whole situation much worse. Sure, one city's population may take over said city, but at what cost? Lives lost, children dead, what good would that do? And if you think this is a good idea, what are you going to do when criminals show up at your door step? No police to help. I can guarantee that the entire population of the U.S. will drop dramatically. And if the government is overtaken, who's going to stop other powerful countries from coming to the U.S. and take control, then make you their bitch? Or even wiping out what's left?. How are you even going to convince others to doing this? The minute you start trying to get others to walk in your footsteps, government officials will probably arrest you.

How many veterans that you know would willingly kill innocent U.S. civilians and imprison their own families. It goes against everythingt that patriots would do. Also, can you really see all of the politicians in charge working together across the many branches of the gov. in order to do this? They can't even balance a budget or pass a law. Keep dreaming...

It's not that they can't, they don't want to. When you threaten their power, they will unleash everything. Your attempt will get cut short before you even fire a shot. They will arrest you and send you to Guantanamo.

it's not that a revolution would necessarily be bad...quite the contrary as a revolution led by the right leader (i.e. me) would fix a multitude of problems in our current arrangement instantly. it's just that in the case of the US, we're long past the feasibility window for revolutions. back when Americans last had a collective spine, a revolution wasn't yet needed since shit wasn't so royally fucked up. but now that technology and complex society has evolved into an enormous behemoth and given the state and the ruling elite unprecedented power and the ability to shore up this power in novel ways, we the people had to forfeit the game. you getting curbstomped and not them is the only outcome, and everybody instinctively knows this so we watch TV & play vidyagames all day

you don't know the score, nor what I have in mind. if much of anything bad happens here, foreign investors will no longer buy our short term bonds and that right there is enough to turn the $100 bill into toilet tissue. it's nealy there already. 100 yrs ago, a $20 bill bought an oz of gold. today despite having mined 100x as much gold, it takes SIXTY of those same $20 bills to buy that same 1 oz of gold. US citizens are brainwashed about this country, but foreigners know the real score.

I didn't say BEANS about overtaking ( obviously you MEANT overthrowing) any govt. What I said is that the economy can be destroyed (quite easily, in fact) When there's no money to pay their thugs, wont be any thugs enforcing anything. I know that you statists "think" that you can just print money, but it hasn't worked out that way for zimbabwe and Rhodesia doesn't have the truly horrific levels of debt that the US has. All it will take to collapse the US $ is for foreigners to stop buying our 30,60, and 90 day bonds. and any major upheaval, martial law, rioting, etc, in US WILL cause foreigners to avoid buying our bonds.
