I heard somewhere that when your 18+ at some point you have to go to a doctor's appointment and your naked for most of the time. Is this true and if so what do they do to you???

Hmm this is highly exaggerated you will do a exam where they will ask you to go down to your undies however they do respect you as humans and keep your integrity so naked most of the time is not realistic. And if you are naked its for a short period of time. When your like 40 they do the cough test and the finger trst but by that age you should be comfortable around drs anyway they have seen much worse than what could be possibly wrong with you andits their job tto stay professional.

Think it's different in other countries but that doesn't happen here

I don't believe we have these kinds of physical exams here in the Netherlands. I'm not familiar with Maryland, but if it's people in your area that say this, then it is very likely you will be scheduled for one at the age of 18- as you described.

Medical staff isn't allowed to share your medical information with anyone without your consent, so if you were worrying about that, don't worry.

I'm certain they'll respect your privacy, and the chance they will actually ask you to strip naked is very small, you'll likely just be taken down to your underwear.

Here in the UK, with a national health service, there are a bunch of tests on babies but then nothing else but scheduled vaccinations until middle age (40s upwards) and most of these are optional. There is no surprise there, though, because the NHS provides cover for everyone anyway so the only time they would be interesting in detection medical conditions would be if there is significant risk and treating early would reduce illness later on.

With private health insurance it is a different matter. The insurance company will want to know how healthy your are because they will use that to set the premium. Whether they demand a medical examination, ask yout (or your parents) some questions, or ask a doctor you regularly see for a report would be down to their own procedures and local laws. Whatever they are looking for I would expect any doctor examining you to treat you with respect and not do something that would embarass you without good cause.

you may be in your underwear for part of the time depending on the type of check up it is, but even then sometimes they give you one of those paper gowns. if they have to do the physical, they will likely ask you to take the underwear down to check down there, but most of the time shouldn't probably be totally naked

You will probably just be in a gown and underwear for most of the time and then the doctor will ask u to drop your underwear to make sure that you don't have testicular cancer. And then you put your underwear back on and that's that.

I have been to many doctors for physicals and exams and the least I ever wore was just my underwear in a paper gown, when they wanted to check my junk they just had my drop my drawers for a brief exam then I put them back on. No worries dude, I dont think its going to be that bad.

Every country is different. As for here in the USA, the only time that you really have to "get naked" for a general doc appointment isn't until your like 40+ y/o to have your prostate checked. OH, also here in the USA, depending on the doc, If your are joining the military, at your physical, they may do a prostate/rectal exam.

Dont worry by that age its important to have it done, and when youre 40 you should really be mature enough to get it done.

Hopefully by then I will have the guts to do it, but just the thought of something going up my anus isn't sitting well with me
