ive always wanted to know why boys have to shower together and girls have their own shower, that's how it is in my school anyway.

Don't know for sure but girls in my class shower together too.
Anyway, I don't mind us boys shower together because it is always loads of fun.

My MS was the old HS so its pretty dated and there are 2 boys locker rooms and one has the large area with multiple shower heads, and the other has like 3 stalls with a bench (I assume it was for handicap). I have yet to go in a girls shower haha but I would assume they are the same...

If you're talking about separate shower stalls, the girls' locker room doesn't have them at my school and I've been told the boys' doesn't either. We all shower in a big open room

At my school, there are kind of cubbies that have a place for a curtain but they're all missing the curtain. So if you go in them and face the wall, the only thing anyone will see is your butt.

WOW! Lucky you, dude! That would never happen at my school with us boys showering in same shower room with the girls, even if there were stalls with curtains. The parents at my school would freak out and want to fire our principal and coaches if that happened.

Question: After everyone finishes their showers where does everyone go to towel off and dress for classes? Just curious?

I don't know how it is for everyone else, but mostly we do not shower at gym class in my school. It's just not enough time to do it because the periods are only 40 minutes long so we just change. I guess that's a little skeevy if you sweat a lot.

I'm sure the sports teams do shower.

I guess I'm a perv, but if they had open showers, I'd probably join a couple teams, because there are some girls I'd love to see naked.

My high school had open area showering for both the sexes, until about 2 years ago (my junior year). Then, the girls shower room was remodeled with separate shower in their locker room. The guys still had open showers.

Many didn't shower after PE class due to time of course, but the teams were always in the showers after practice. I remember my dad telling me that when he was a kid, the YMCA in our area was still having nude swimming for the members (only male members at the Y -- that was when he was like 8 and then I guess women were allowed to join). Obviously the showers were gang too.

My experience in high school was that they were open from the back (no curtain/no door) but little dividers on the walls that, for the most part if you looked over it would block off anything between face/neck region (depending on height) and the knees.

We use the same changing room aswell.

Yes. Towels are available. Everyone towels off and then dresses to return to class. We have to do it in 5 minutes or be late for class.

My dad is a basketball coach for high school and college and summer camps (oversees too) so shadowing him and playing on teams myself my whole life I think I have probably been in over 1000 locker rooms! Can honestly say that there are lots of similarities but none are exactly the same. Girls definitely have the individual stalls more than boys but it depends on when the gym was built. Some eras adults thought girls should be prudes while others saw girls as equal and should be same as boys. Some gyms don't have showers or turned them into storage. Some college dorms surprisingly have more privacy for boys than high school boys. My current high school is huge (ish) but has a tiny
shower that only 12 can use at once so we're almost touching. It's weird but we're not forced to use them we just do for sports. I think the girls is the same way.

we have multiple showers off of a common pole and about 70% of the girls in my gym class dont bother to shower so they dont have wet hair for next class or else they schedule gym at end of day so they can just go home

in my school and in my gym girls haven't their own shower...i think there is not a rule for this
