So about an hour ago I got a call my parents. My Nanna has died. Last Friday morning she took a turn and wasn't expected to last the day. I very reluctantly went and saw her in hospital. It was a distressing sight and I so didn't want to be there. She had an oxygen mask on and her pupils had rolled back. She was panting like a dog for air because she could barely breathe. I'm glad I went because I know I can live with myself knowing I made that final visit. So four days later she dies. I'm not sure how I'm feeling, but the fact is from today I have no more grandparents. All four have now died (granted one had died before I was born). I'm not sure if or when it has sunk in? Maybe it will at the funeral, whenever that will be? Anyways, I needed to get that out.

sorry for you're loss, death of a family member is always hard. I don't know when it will sink in or how long it will take to recover. But just know that we are here for you Stephen.

Thankyou all again for posting. Just that gesture is very much appreciated. The funeral starts in 3hrs and to be frank about it, I just want it to be over with. I hate funeral's, particularly for close relatives, so I'll be much better later today when it's over and I go home. I'm doing a bible reading in the funeral. It's only a few lines, but still, I'm nervous about it. Anyways, it will all be over with soon and we can all carry on with things.

So the funeral was last Friday. I participated by reading something out from the bible. I kept it together for the most part, except for a period after I read what I read when I was a bit upset. It hit me a few times over the weekend, but now the new week has started, i'm dealing with this better now. I'm just glad it's all over with and it's time to move on. Thanks for your support.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a family member is never fun. All of my grandparents are gone too. Even though going to the hospital to see someone who is sick can be hard, it does make you feel good afterwards...at least it did for me when I got the chance.
