Being stared at when naked

i volunteered to be a lifeguard's assistant this summer. my first day was yesterday. instead of changing at home, i changed in the changing room at the pool because i wanted to take a shower there. two other guys were in the shower and one of them kept staring at me. was he just bored and i was something new to look at? does he have the hots for me? is he a creeper? i don't shower in public much. is this normal? it was kind of creepy but he wasn't smiling or getting a boner or anything. does this normally happen in a place like that? :what:

I wouldn't get too worried about it mate. Some people just stare, others do not. You get a great variance in how people act, when you're in public places like showers. Probably a case of harmlessness. If things do look to be heading towards something else and you feel uncomfortable though, do be wary and choose to be in the presence of a few other people at the same time just to be safe?

i looked at both when i first walked in. i didn't even notice at first. then it was like every time i glanced at him he was staring at me. it was weird. :P

Was he a member of public ? How old ? And yes I'd say it's normal if someone is naked it's just checking out, maybe they were surprised by your ... :P if your uncomfortable with it wear your swim wear when showering and cover up when putting it on/ off

lol there's nothing surprising about my ... lol i think he just graduated from my high school so late teens. way bigger than me, didn't want to start a fight. i just don't want to feel uncomfortable. am i making too big a deal out of it?

No your not making a big deal he could of been trying to make you uncomfortable. The more your naked around people the more comfortable you'll be with it.

i guess so. starting next year we all have to take showers after p.e. so everyone will be doing it. but that's in school, to me that isn't public because we know each other.

I never showered at school, its not common in my school/area. I wouldn't be to comfortable naked in front of people.

I take showers at a public swim club that my dad and I belong to and I usually get a lot of stares from some of the guys there and I agree that it is kinda creepy sometimes, but I dont pay it any mind and just shower and move on. If it ever made me feel uncomfortable I would have said something to the guy, but in a polite way as to not start any kind of fuss. Its not what you say as much as its how you say it.

Yeah, its pretty normal. What else is there to look at?
If some guy stares long at me, I decide - or convince myself - that he thinks I'm hot. Which I'm not. Or I decide he is admiring some part of me, whatever he is staring at.

Try your best to just ignore it. After a while, you just get use to it.

He was either interested or curious. If he was around your age, maybe he wanted to see if he is just as developed as you. Many people look in the public showers. It's like the only place you can see a penis without asking them. I can't say I haven't looked at someone before. Everyone is a bit curious.

I wouldn't get tio upset. We all change at shower naked togther at school. It's common to check out other boys. But peek-don't gawk.

I personally think that you're over analysing the situation (something I am often guilty of doing!). Maybe he was deep in thought, and ended up looking at you. Maybe he thought you were attractive. Who knows. I would just ignore it unless you feel threatened.

Gte used to nudity in locker rooms and shwoers. We all have the same equipment and somtimes boys check each other out.

Yea its pretty normal in public places you will learn how to deal with it by either saying something to them polite to stop staring or just keep doing what your doing and move on

i'm pretty sure by the end of this year i won't think twice about it. we're going to shower after p.e. now.

yea you will def get use to it. that is how I did. it is no big deal. everyone is in the same boat. people see you, you see others. soon it is just a way to get clean for class. it is much better feeling to shower before going to class then have to stink all day. some people always have a problem with it, but most get use to it pretty quick

it's bound to happen now and then in public showers and locker rooms. If it happens to you and you are uncomfortable with it, either move to change in the toilet stall or ask the person to stop staring
