Seek counselling via your school nurse, they are trained experts in helping you find the complex reason. And speak to your doctor, it's confidential and you will need some blood tests. 20% of major depression is misdiagnosed Hypothyroidism (an imbalance in the endocrine system of the thyroid). They will explain the pros and cons of anti-depressants and whether they feel that would be a suitable course of action.
Good Luck,

I feel depressed all the time and I don't know what to do. I'm 15 and are a long way into puberty, every couple of months my depression is getting worse and I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I don't get bullied at school and I'm quite popular, girls say I'm good looking and I have no relationship problems at the moment, I play for a professional football team youth academy and train 5 times s week so only have 2 days off to do what I want. I have never touched any drugs or any form of alcohol. Can someone help me and advice me what to do? Is it to do with my lifestyle?
for this sort of problem you really need some profetional help to get to the bottom of it but depression dosent have to come from something it can just come out of the blue

Well, I'm not an expert or anything, but since there doesn't seem to be too many major hardships in your life, it probably just has to do with your hormones being messed up because of puberty. As you get older and you start reaching the last stages of puberty, your hormones should balance out and hopefully you won't feel depressed anymore.
I know when I was 15 I always had just different emotions and there were definitely times when I felt depressed. If you really need someone to talk to, you can always go to your school's counselor or even here on VT. Just remember that, if anything, it might just be puberty related and things may go back to normal as you get older.
Good luck! :)

Anonymous1203,
I'd like to start off by saying your username is giving me an immense sense of nostalgia. When I first joined this forum a year ago in search of some sort of outlet for my pain, I signed up under the username "anonymousteen14." I didn't want anyone to know who I was and I was ashamed to show my true self. I was also consumed by self-doubt and depression.
However, I discovered that this forum is not full of people who will abuse your identity and reject you, but rather it is full of people who want to help you. I opened up, and it has changed my life sincerely.
That being said, I'm sure you can get through depression. Use this forum as your outlet for depression. Trust me. If you ever feel bad, doubtful, or just downright depressed, make a thread for us and we will help you.
Best of luck, my friend. :)
