Long hair or short for boys??

Ok, scary thing.. my first original thread on VT....
Anyway, school is out, I am already bored, and was getting kinda depressed. So my mom said I should make a change in my life. A minor change (she wouldnt want anything major). A new hair style, new clothes, a tattoo, something! She loves to shop, so I already have tons of clothes that I never even wear. And I am gonna do the tattoo but not right away, because I need to decide what I want and I'm not old enough quite yet.

So... Hair style!!!! So my question is, do you (guys and girls both, please!) like guys with short hair or long. Mine is kinda long now, coming over my face a little. It looks a lot like my avatar, but I will post a real pic if I need to and if my parents don't catch me doing so. My hair is white-blonde, and really straight. My face is kinda a round shape, really light complexion.

So, is it better long or short? If long, a different style?

Am I obsessing too much? I know it will grow out soon anyway, but style is important. Not sure why, I'm still a nobody, but I can be nobody with style, right?

What's your preference in guys?

Personally, I like guys with short hair. I think it makes them look more mature, which I like. I have a thing for short hair, with slight facial hair... But it all comes down to what you think looks best on you! Heck, dye it if you want if you are afraid to cut it. Either way, hair grows back and most dye fades. You'll have to do your research on dyes if you plan on doing that!

It depends on the person. Some guys look awesome with long hair, some with short.

I recommend everyone grow out their hair at least once in their lives, even if at all the stages it looks like a mess :P It's an interesting experience! I had long hair until the start of last year, after three years without cutting it once.

IMO, long hair looks good. Plus, you will stand out from the crowd and catch some looks ;)

it can depend on the guy and how long. I let my hair grow out sometimes, but it is still clearly a guys haircut/length

Ah, understood. I never really had that problem with my parents. My dad didn't like it but he wasn't going to tell me that I couldn't. And my mom was a beautician so I've had my hair (or at least parts of it) every color imaginable.

I can't really complain. My parents are pretty nice, and have very few rules. Lots of rules about violence.... as in none of it, not in games, movies, anything.
But hair, tatts, piercings.... are because sometimes the family gets involved in my dad's work, meeting people that must be important in some way. So he doesn't want us to appear too radical. When I go to visit my grams this summer.... well, anything goes!

If you want the more mature look, shorter hair is probably best. Longer hair is for more of a cool look or casual.

Above all hair length should match the shape of ur face....Until I was 15 or so I had a small triangular face and was skinny as hell...I had longish hair and it suited me well..

After 15 I got a bit filled out and my face got a bit rounder ( so did my body) ..my GF got me to got for a short crop and it suited my plumier face...

So I think long hair is best on skinny guys.

It depends on the type of guy and the type of hair he has. I find some guys who have buzz and crew cuts cute, but if that same guy grew his hair out, he wouldn't look as nice. I also like sort of bowl cuts on some guys to where the bottom part is shaved, and the top has hair.

Yet the are some guys like Kevin Jonas who look so much better with long hair, so I like I said it depends.

Do what you feel comfortable. Hair grows fast, even faster on some people so it enough time for you to decide what you want to do.

Generally short is better in my opinion, at least how it looks on me. I grew my hair pretty long about two years ago and it was dubbed by many as the 'Jesus mullet'.

Mom: Either way, naked or dressed, be sure your skinny ass is planted on the seat of my car in 15 minutes. Otherwise, I will carry you out, and plant it there myself.
Me: (Thinking, not saying): Most kids could just lay here, their moms would never drag them out naked. But my mom, yeah, she would do it.
Me: (Sitting up on the side of the bed)
Mom: Oh good, he moves. Haircut first. Lunch second. Now move. Shirt. Pants. Shoes. You know, clothes. MOVE! (Leaves)
Me: (Lays down again, wishing my mom were normal and would just leave me alone. But then LiGhT BuLb.... she said lunch at ******....)

So... the salon she goes to. There's this guy there that she wanted to have do my hair. He's.... fabulously flamboyant ... or flamboyantly fabulous .... and totally hilarious. He told me a 6-color faux-hawk would be great on me! And that we could do ALL my hair to match! I wish I had a pic of my mom's face right then.
Gods, a rainbow hawk is all I need. With matching carpet to show off at the pool. Can you imagine my life at school? Can you say "bully magnet"?

Actually, he totally understood the not-want-to-attract-attention issue, kept it understated, made some recommendations. I like what he did. And hey, for a week or two, the carpet will match the drapes. And not because they are both dyed rainbow colors.

I think it depends on the person. Long hair looks good on a lot of people, but some people just can't pull it off. Like Alex said, I think everyone should do it at least once -- it's an experience :P

I think it depends on the guy because some guys look amazingly hot with longer hair but some guys are hot with short hair. Style is a big part to and so is what suits you. Long hair past there shoulders is probably to long for most guys though.

If I could, I'd have long hair. Don't know if too long or just a little, but I really would like to. As of how does it look, I don't know about dating preferences as I don't fancy guys, but I'd reiterate what's being said, some people pull off some looks better than others. I, for example can't have long hair, just as there's guys that look weird with short hair

It really does depend on the person but personally, on guys I prefer short hair. I just associate guys having short hair which they never need to care about, and girls having long hair which we spend hours working on haha!

Some guys can pull off longer hair though, but it's not my thing!

Me personally, before a haircut my hair goes to the bottom of my neck. Once I get a haircut it's closer to the top. I like guys to have inbetween as much hair as I do with and without a hair cut if that makes sense.

This and sometimes has to do with age. My BFF has a little brother who just turned 5 and he has the most beautiful, long, blonde, hair about shoulder length and he looks so cute and precious. On the other hand, over the summer my boyfriend grew out his hair and it didn't look bad, it's just that I like him better with short hair. Really you'll find that every person will have a different opinion. What really matters is what you like :)

I think the main thing is what you like ;) All people have different tastes, no style can satisfy everyone :)
Personally I like guys both with the short and long hair but not it it's too short :D Also I don't like bald "hairstyle" :P
Also one of my favourite is shoulder length type, for example, like here Macho Hairstyles (http://machohairstyles.com/shoulder-length-hairstyles/) :) I think that it's also a good compromise if you can't choose between the long and short one ;)
