I'm so done. I just can't even stand it anymore. I swear everytime I hear a train I wish I was standing in front of it. my parents don't trust me anymore. they make me leave my phone with them at night and I can't have a password on it. I just want everything to stop. I can't do this anymore

xXoblivionXx,

Your parents' are not dictatorial monsters as it might seem in this situation. It seems to me that they are simply paranoid about your actions, and they want to suppress the social influence that you get in order to keep you from getting involved in bad things.

However, this is totally absurd at its core. Have you confronted your parents? Have you explained to them that this is simply restricting you beyond the reasonable boundaries?

I agree with Dan, yes it's a parent's responsibility. to keep you safe and monitor your actions but this is going too far. Try talking to them about what you can do to earn their trust, don't expect it to be short though, earning someone's trust can take a long time, but it's worth it in the end.

Although your parents may seem strict, they are worried about you. They want to keep you safe and that is a parents duty. Overly protective parents aren't that bad, they just love you enough to want the best for you. Speak to them and ask them why they do this to you and perhaps make a negotiation if possible.

Great advice mate, I totally agree. Oftentimes we concentrate upon our own wants and desires to the detriment of the thoughts or intentions of others. It is important not to neglect the care of those around us too.

I find that when I take a moment from the situation and reconsider what the everything entails, I manage to find a way through to work things through and advance. So hang in there! I'm sure everything will end up okay.
