Mines a Lumia .. probably a model not made any more since there's a new one every month, lol. I like it, I'd definitely get a Nokia Lumia.

As far as I know the 'Nokia' brand no longer exists, instead being replaced with the 'Windows' brand when it comes to the Lumia line of phones. I myself had a Nokia Lumia a little while ago, I can't quite remember the model number but it was a pretty large 6 inch one that worked perfectly. It's really just a matter of what you intend to use it for, just remember the limited support for apps on the Windows Phone store. I had no qualms with it on the technical side, it just got a little bit annoying with the lack of apps available. Go with the new Windows Lumia if you're still keen on Windows Phone OS, but personally I'd look at a similarly priced Android solution.

Nokia, but wouldn't it be wiser to wait for the upcoming Win10 phones?

Trust me Windows phones are good but they can sometimes be pretty bad

I have a Lumia 620 and I wish I'd bought an android phone. There are no apps. Maybe reconsider your choices.

I had a Windows (either windows 8 or 8.1) Nokia Lumia phone, and it was pretty horrible. It wouldn't let me download any app (it would send me to a page where I'd have to enter my email, and after I entered it, it still refused to let me download the app and claimed there was an ''issue with the server''), I couldn't download music, the design of the phone itself was pretty boxy/slippery, and the layout was pretty tired.

I contacted the phone company and they said that it was ''out of their control'' and gave other stupid excuses.

Whatever brand you get; I'd strongly advise you to not get a Nokia Lumia lol.
northy I live in England too and the phone company said to me that the phone isn't supposed to work in my area!! I guess it's a widespread problem.

You can practice C++ on more than just windows phones. If you want to develop on Windows Phone then you have to pay for a developer licence. C++ will work on android phones. Besides, Windows Phone uses C# to develop apps on and C# is very different to C++; in my experience anyway.

You don't get any other Windows phones. Unless you count windows 10, which you can only get if you get windows phone 8 first.
