Hey guys,

I was wondering something. Basically i've noticed as my boobs have gotten bigger through puberty, they've become less sensitive. My nipples/aerola's are large now but not as sensitive as they used to be when they were smaller. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this. Does boob size make a difference on sensitivity? Or is it just puberty/maturing in general.

In general, when your breasts are developing, they're far more sensitive than they'll be once you're grown, though they may be particularly sensitive at certain times during your menstrual cycle. So, in short, it's probably just puberty and maturing in general as opposed to any direct correlation between size and sensitivity.

As I am going through puberty my boobs/areolas/nipples are very sensitive, quite puffy and still rather small overall.
So i would agree with Elysium.

l was the same when my boobs started growing, but it does get better as you get older and your boobs aren't growing as quickly.

Mine were out-right painful during the first couple of years they appeared (11 and 12) but it eventually goes away.

once they finish growing they are not that sensible so dont worry. For me the worst stage was when they started growing when I was 14

Have to agree with Elysium here, too. The most sensitive time I can remember was in like the few months right around the time that my areolae started sort of "puffing out" from my actual chest -- my nipples at that time were sensitive to the point that it wasn't pleasant. It took... hm. Probably about 6 months or so for things to settle down, but then I had the soreness of everything *else* developing. Hard to catch a break sometimes. LOL They are also much more sensitive, even now, around mid-cycle for me.

I totally agree with kailynr, and Elysium. Quite same for me, except for the cycle-dependency, i havent realized any significant change based on that. :)

Mine were very painful during the main part of puberty. (I started puberty at 9 and started my period on my 11th birthday.) They are still a little sensitive, but normally the week before-of-and after my menstrual cycle.
