League or CS:GO and why?

Personally, I play CS:GO very often but only casually. I don't take it crazy seriously. I never really got into League of Legends and find it quite boring. However, I can see how it would be fun to some people.

I own both games and have played for the past 2 years. I haven't gotten around to putting some time into Counter Strike but I haven't played League all that much lately. I prefer to watch the esports scene rather than play.

How can you compare two games that share nothing in common?
except for the fact that they are Very Popular and competitive.

I comared them because CS:GO fans are like "League is retarded" and League fans say the opposite. Even though the games are not similar, most people like one and hate the other. I just wanted to hear some opinions

That's a assumption and generalization with no real proof or fact behind it.
I know plenty of people that play both or not at all and many who don't have
any interest and some prefer other Moba's.

Comparing two games by there toxic players is just plain silly.

I prefer CS:GO. LoL is quite dull and boring in my opinion.

Never played 'League of Legends' and not intending to either. 'CS:GO' is entertaining, but not particularly in depth, but very fun to play in bursts.

CS:GO, because I'm ranked Master Nova and because that makes me feel good, although I shouldn't be feeling good.
Never played League.

BTW, if anyone wants to team up(from Europe, since it lags like hell when playing with people from other regions), then PM/VM me.

I seriously play CSGO and I have played League, they are two very different games and it's like comparing an apple to a wooden table, there's nothing to compare between them.

I've started playing CS:GO some weeks ago, I'm still a bit noob, but I'm getting the hang of it. I've been playing League Of Legends for approximately three years, and I really like it, so that would be my favourite. The toxic community doesn't really bother me because I always mute everyone in the beginning of the game, it helps me focus and get better scores.

Although I don't like MMORPGs and such games in general, I prefer CSGO since it allows me to earn money for games while playing games, it's got a lot more gamemodes, and it's not as repetitive as LOL.

You got to tell me your secret, then, because I rarely earn anything, and when I do, I get weapon cases that are worth no more than 0,05€ :P

I didn't say I have earned for a single game yet, I said earnING.. ._.

That didn't make sense, but since you haven't earned anything yet, when you do, you'll notice the stuff you earn isn't worth much. I know the only viable way to actually get something more expensive is by watching the streams on Twitch, but only some streams give drops to the players, and they usually happen once every 3 months.

Misunderstood again, I did get a few drops, but all are about 0,20€, which means that I haven't earned for a game. And I don't want to earn stuff by watching streamers, I just like that achievement feeling you get when you get a drop :D

The games can't be compared.
I'm going to give you a suggestion from a competetive POV.

If you want to play an FPS. CS:GO beats all other games in that genre in terms of skill (except for maybe Quake). 1v1 Quake requires more skill, but as a team game, CS requires more skill.
There is a game that could potentially have a higher skill ceiling which is Urban Terror (CTF gamemode).
Because it's gameplay is very similar to CS but it also has a fast paced movement style that has a big learning curve. Problem is that it's community is very small and most of the players that remain, are really bad. The lack of competetive community makes it almost impossible to reach the skill ceiling.

As for mobas, it's either LoL or Dota 2. I'm not sure which of them has the highest skill ceiling but League has a very high ceiling and it's competetive community + following is larger and has a brighter future. Mainly because of the Chinese investment in it, things like this. http://www.esportsheaven.com/news/view/64778
Dota 2 has some nice prize pools tho. Currently $15,285,924 for the upcoming international tournament and 10m$ last year. I doubt it, but hopefully League has a larger prize pool at Worlds.

Why not play both CS:GO and LoL? :3

I've quite enjoyed CS:GO more than I can say I have with LoL. It's great for both casual and competitive play, and the community is pretty chill. League of Legends is pretty much on the exact opposite end of the spectrum in my experience. Too much shite talking and it's hard to commit myself to a full game. It's just meh.

Maybe I've just been super lucky, but I've rarely -if ever- dealt with toxic players in League.

200+ is a fair guess. There have been annoying people for sure, but I don't think that really counts as toxic. I haven't really seen anyone be openly hostile in the "u suk uninstall before i burn ur house down reported" kind of way.

You must be either really lucky or amazing at the game I guess :D
