The skin on the underside of my penis has become really dry lately. It's not sore from masturbation because I haven't for about four days now, and no other part of my body has dry skin like this.
I haven't tried any creams/lotions or anything like that because I read they can cause irritation down there, so that might make it worse than it is. I do wash under my foreskin with soap and I try to clean the rest of the area down there as well with water, maybe that's what caused it.
Will it heal on its own and is there anything I can use on the penis to moisturise it?

Doesn't sound serious or dangerous to me . :D
Just continue as usual , if it gets worse , visit doctor then . But I hope it will be OK . :D
Maybe you can but little bit vaseline on it , because it's known that vaseline helps in wound healing and it is well known to be used as lube . :D

I'd put something like sudocream on it. It won't cause irritation. It's made for baby's so it's safe.

When you say dry, do you mean like what dry skin would be like? Regarless of what you mean, I don't think it's a problem.

Just like that.

Just like that.
Just treat it like you would with normal dry skin. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Sometimes that happens to me, especially when the weather gets hot. Its a spot that sweat and whatever accumulates and makes it raw. At least that's my mom's theory. A bit of lotion on it two or three times a day solves it for me. And using lube to masturbate when the weather is hot helps, since some lube rubs in.

It would probably be a good idea to use some cream the moisturizes it, like aveeno. I don't know which creams you are talking about, but from what I know moisturization doesn't dry out your skin more :P

It has now cleared right up. I used some baby oil because that's what I could find.
