Why do guys like hot but dumb girls?

So in my school there's this really beautiful chick, and she's like considered hot by everyone.
I know her well, and most people do, and she's really empty and dumb, and stupid, and she knows she's hot and she likes the attention. Everything about her is absolutely fake, especially her facial expressions...
She annoys me sooo much.
And still all guys are around her.
I understand she's hot but she's so empty it hurts. Why are guys still all around her even if she is dumb as hell? Like it really does hurt me :D

I think they see her as someone easy to get with that's to dumb thinking about how it makes her look. I personally have no interest in girls with fake personality, hair, tan, ect. I like girls that have

Well, not every guy or girl is good at everything; it doesn't matter how intelligent they are, there are always things that they might not understand and you better tell them in "English" :D. So many ideas that come out of my mouth around my friends might seem extremely absurd but if you analyse it scientifically it actually makes quite a bit of sense but I don't want to call them dumb or anything. They have different lenses to look at things and I respect that. So back to the point, by smart; is it the matter of eloquence, intelligence or plain good at science/mathematics ?

Look from a guy's perspective I have to say that this is complicated. There are two types of guys: The ones who like hot, but dumb girls and the ones that like hot, but nice girls. It's not all guys that are like this. It's probably the same amount of guys as it is the same amount of girls that act like that (leading guys on, acting unintelligent and shallow). High school just brings the worst out in people and makes it seem like everyone is like that. It's unfortunate, but it's what high school is pretty much known for.

All of that matters, but the method of how one looks out upon others and oneself is also a factor people look at when decerning their attractiveness.

Don't be judging people like the main character of "The Social Network".

If you can figure out why the girl rejects him and gets mad at him during their "date" at the beginning of the movie, you'll be okay.

But if you are scratching you head wondering what he did wrong that made her mad, BEFORE the next scene in the film where a facepage rating Girls via looks were rated publicly, then you have basis to be concerned that you lack a some self awareness about your own flaws, that others are perceiving that you are not detecting.

At a young time of life people tend to go for looks over personality. Looks usually make someone popular as well which is also an attraction for many guys.

If when you get a bit older people begin to realise that it's all and well having a really hot girlfriend but if she's stupid and you've got nothing in common or to talk about then it's really not worth it.

Just last week, there was this senior girl at our school who socially always played "dumb and clueless", but she was brainy as crap and she's going to MIT now.

People put on different personality masks, just to gauge their reactions. Sometimes really confident people do it for self-entertainment purposes and they don't really feel dumbed down, to them their just playing a game, or there's a reason they don't want to show the real persona.

Meh I see where your going with that.

But not I think there's also something to be said for those who might be books smart but don't know themselves very well.

For instance I've known smart people to make really poor love and dating choices partly because dating and socializing isn't and doesn't use the same parts of the brain as books smarts.

Also the tendency for an individual to seek certain ratios of safety:risk:reward also plays heavily into this.


It's more than smarts, it's their psyche as a whole along with the emotional side of a person.

Kids look for facial features and good bodies. They don't understand that if they get into a relationship with someone they will have to be with them and treat them well for a while and hopefully forever. You don't get into a relationship just to get sex. Just don't worry about it, as long as you're nice and you don't cling onto boys then they will like you.

From my experience in relationships, I just really don't like girls that always try to be around you and never let you be alone with your friends.
