I am 16 and i have a crush on a girl at 14 and she is my best friend. We get along very well and we had almost everything in common. Then during school holidays, i confess to her and she rejected me. Then during our 2 months holiday, we didnt talk at all and she said she needed time to talk to me again. When school holiday ended and we are in the same class again and it was so different. I didnt get along with her anymore but we did talk but not much. Then when im 16 which is this year, i had a crush on her again but if i tell her again. I hope she can accept me and not ignore me its not good for me. Should i confess again or wait till my school prom next year ?

Her behaviour sounds very strange when she rejected you originally. Did she give any reasons?

Can't help but think you handled it wrong, but you can still change that now.

Let her know you miss the friendship you had, that you still hold feelings for her but that doesn't have to come between you both. You can still be friends and keep your romantic desires to yourself, make sure she knows it doesn't have to be one or the other.

Most importantly, don't make it awkward if you are friends. Ask politely if the conversation strays to discussing who she fancies, that she not discuss that sensitive subject and change the topic. And don't bring it up again!

If she proclaims no interest in friendship then this time, move on. You'll be graduating soon(?) and will have many more new people in your life. There are more fish in the sea, for now you are floating about in a pond with the same few.
