Hey girls !!
Well , when I use pads I usually have that uncomfortable feeling down there , its really annoying and i dont know how to stop that awful itching.
(I use tampons too , but not always )
Do you think this is normal? What can I do?
Thanks :))

I used pads for awhile but after awhile they started to feel uncomfortable and changed to tampons.

Tampons are way better tho they can feel weird at first.

Its pretty normal for them to feel uncomfortable but I'm not sure about the itching. Have you tried switching to a different brand or type? Maybe its the material. Personally, I find tampons a lot more comfortable and easier

I wear tampons sometimes , but not always because my mom says that sleeping while wearing them isnt healthy and that stuff...

And yeah , I use different brands and types and it usually happens when I wear the night pads ... but i feel safer sleeping with night pads because they are big ...
What can I do??
PS thank you for all your answers !! :)

As long as you aren't exceeding 8 hours then there's no reason why wearing tampons at night would damage you :)
If you still want to wear pads at night, you could always wear more than one pair of pants over a normal pad haha, I used to also wear leggings over them, it would erm stop it moving about so its much less likely to make a mess ;)

Ikr !!! You are right !!! But my mom is really stubborn about this stuff ...
Anyways , maybe I should try wearing two pants and a normal pad , just in case.
Well , thanks for your advice !! :)

Aw I know, some parents are just like that :/
No problem! And as I said wearing leggings really does help ;) I only tried that because of the number of times even nights pads didn't stay where I wanted them to hah , but honestly they were a saviour

Ahahaha really? But arent leggings a little bit uncomfortable for sleeping ?? Just asking , I have never tried that :)
And do you often sleep with tampons? (When you are on your period , I mean lol)

well I guess I'm kind of used to wearing them so it doesn't really bother me, but it might be a bit uncomfortable at first if you're not used to it
Only recently really, it also depends on whether I know I'm going to be in bed for a max of 8 hours, otherwise I'd wear a pad. Generally though, I would much prefer to wear a tampon over a pad, its a lot less messier and more practical :)

Ok !! I will try both ways and then I will decide which one is better for me :)
By the way , I have just talked with my mom about this and she has told me that wearing tampons at night may produce Toxic Shock Syndrome or something like that (i dont know whats that tho lol)

Okay :)
Yes, that can be caused by tampons, so not just at night. Its extremely rare though so I wouldn't worry about it

Oh , I didnt know that! Anyway , I will try to change my tampons often , just in case hehe :)
And one question : Are big tampons worse than the small ones?

I mean , do big tampons increase the risk of having that shock toxic syndrom?? Or not? :)

I doubt so. It's only if you leave the tampon in for too long that it increases the risks of TSS.
