Avoided

I don't know really, I just feel like I'm being avoided by certain people, or at least sort of unaccepted. Some friends I have in a lower year level I'm mainly talking about. I don't know how they feel about me being in a higher year tbh, and I'm not sure if they feel that it's awkward when I'm around or if they're actually avoiding me. It just feels like it sometimes. And it just hurts. It's just one of the many things making it hard to claw my way out of this mess of emotions...

Until you leave school year/age difference actually seems like a big gap compared to what it usually is (Yr11 -> Yr9 is a perfect example). Many kids seem to be possibly intimidated or unsure of how to act around someone who is older than them (This is just a generalization and comes from personal experience). It doesn't always have to be a personal thing, there might just be a schism born from the unknown. If they are avoiding you for personal reasons then there isn't much you can do about it besides moving past them or confronting them on the subject. You can't get along with everyone, but since they are your friends hopefully you can get to the bottom of the issue.
