Has anyone got any ideas on how I can hint to my dad that I want to shave. I don't feel comfortable just asking him. Also, it would be helpful if you could tell me how your first shave came about :)

There's no reason to feel uncomfortable . Just ask him , you can't do it first time by yourself , you need help for first time shaving . :D

Are you talking about pubic regions or facial hair? If you're talking about facial hair, then there is nothing to be worried about. If you're talking about pubic hair, I can understand why you might feel nervous. If you don't want ask him, you can easily buy manual or electric razors (Shaving cream for the manual)from Walgreens, CVS, WalMart or anything like that and get online and look for information on how to shave properly and safely.

I agree just ask him, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Your dad has probably been waiting for a long time to teach you how to shave your face and would probably be very proud to show you.

Shame and embarrassment are very illogical emotions. If you don't feel like asking him, perhaps you could ask your mom (she helps me), a brother? A sister? A friend?

I want to shave too and I don't know how to ask. I think the best thing to do is to just let it out and say to your dad that you want to do it.
