I'll just answer the last question, No.

It's not so much a looks thing, though I admit that plays a role, it isn't a make or brake.

The issue for me is the same reason I wouldn't date someone who smoked/drank heavily/took steroids to be slim. Fact is girls in general want a guy they can settle down with for life, a potential candidate for being 'the one'. If the partner is overweight they will have all kinds of ailments and need taken care of, and will die younger

Also, if they can't even look after their own wellbeing how are they going to look out for mine?

Surely being attractive is motivation enough to seek help for the weight, whether that's education or counselling. They'll be much happier in themselves when they are a healthy weight.

Wouldn't stop me becoming close friends with them though, and if I found out it was a medical reason (which is rare) I may be inclined to grant leniency, otherwise it's a matter of lacking effort.

I mean 20 lbs over their ideal body weight. Most if the population is not at their perfect body weight. I know lots of ppl in their 80s and older that carry an extra few pounds and they take care of themselves.

1) what physically attracts me to guys is good hygiene (i'm just a sucker for good cologne tbh), toned arms, and pretty eyes.
2) i'm really emotionally attracted to open-mindedness, being opinionated, and an overall caring nature. not just to me, but to people in general.
3) when i try, i can totally pull off a 9-10. when i'm being lazy and grungy sitting around my house, probably like a 5-6. though of course i can't be one to judge how my own appearance looks to others lol.
4) i agree with clara on this one. though i have known people 15-20 pounds overweight and they looked fine, so it really all depends on if they eat healthy and exercise. some people are just more heavyset than others.
