Recently I read a post on Rambling of the Wise about animal cruelty. I thought it was pretty interesting so I clicked in and there was a youtube video link so I watched it. Anyways, the video was just horrifying and I just didn't watch the whole thing since I've already seen same type of stuff. What really ticked me off was that on the comment box below the video there was a guy who was ranting about how they should drop another A-Bomb in China for this. I was extremely offended not just because the fact that he is pointing at my race but because the level of hate he used against me and my race. I admit, these kinds of cruelty against animals are absolutely unacceptable and cannot be justified in any way. However, his comments about genocide and hate against a race is taking it to a whole new level. I'm not going to lie, I was really pissed. This is how I personally send a message replying to his comment:

You do understand that your racial comments and generalization of all Asians are as cruel as killing animal in such a horrible manner. Most Chinese like myself are against these acts. However, most the people in this video do not have a choice. If they don't do this, they and their family will starve to death. It does not justify the cruelty it was to the animal but again, they do not have a choice. Do you think dropping another nuclear bomb help solve any problem? When the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima it was for self-defense and it still did not justify killing thousands and leaving millions suffering under radiation. What you saw in that video is the price for ignoring the needs of third world countries. But I guess you wouldn't understand this because by reading your comment I can already see that you're still too juvenile to understand how this world works.

If you are interested in how he replied, please keep an eye on this thread and I'll post his reply as soon as he does. Feel free to post any comment about stereotyping.

UPDATE: I just found out the guy was 52 (said on his profile). Can you believe that a grown man can be that juvenile?

Recently, there was a thread about top 10 things you hate and i put stereotyping. It really hurts if they are stereotyping negative comments about people.

Stereotypes really aren't meant to be taken seriously. It could be an offensive joke and he may not really believe literally what he meant. Or he really could but I'm just trying to see things from both sides. Also you don't know if hes really 52 - many put a fake birth date on registration. People are more open to post crude things online since its anonymous therefore I take these kind of things said online with a pinch of salt.

As far as I'm concerned these people aren't worth my time of day and won't ever get a reaction from me.

Not all stereotypes are bad though. They can be fun jokes to laugh at. The best jokes are when we make fun of ourselves and have no hard feelings about it.

You probably heard this qoute before, I will share it with you (the readers) :
"Labels are for cans".
Seriously. If you think about it, what is an emo? Sure, she or he may dress differently, act differently, everyone does that. So shouldn't we all be called an emo?

To be honest, I sometimes do generize people, and I try my hardest not to, because really not only is it obnoxious, but it's wrong.
