It should be in the form of a check. If it is cash, most likely the employer is not reporting it which means benefits due you may not be provided.

this. though your place of work my offer a direct deposit so it goes right into the bank. as far as how much you make, it will probably be minimum or close to minimum, unless you are being paid under the table

People are given their paychecks in the form of a check, more often than not. Some people get it directly deposited into their bank account. People aren't often payed in cash, because that's impractical. Unless they're being payed under the table, I'd think it would be easier to pay one's employees with a check.

Most places give paychecks by default, others may choose to opt for direct deposit where the money is wired directly into your checking or savings account. Direct Deposit is a lot more convenient and quicker than waiting for a check to arrive in the mail.
The only time I could see someone getting paid directly in cash would be for odd jobs such as doing yard work for a neighbor, or helping in a family-owned business. It would be impractical for large corporations to be giving their employee's wages in currency.

They don't do cash anymore saddly, I think that's actually illegal now because of the governments obsession and greed for stealing more from innocent underage kids and not underage people. I get paid in bank deposits from my company with small amounts taken off each payment from the legal thieves(Government tax).

I'm unaware of what the system is like outside the UK, but in our country, (salary) payment is normally made from the HR department of your company on a monthly basis into your current bank account.
As for all other "mini-jobs" (informal jobs) such as paper-rounds etc, your employer will probably pay you in the form of cash...
Other than that, expect employers to be asking you for bank details should be accepted for a job :)
Hope that helps!

If you open a bank account it will be in there. If not it will just be cash in your hands.

But even with a bank account you can still just get cash from your employer if you want.
