I've been working at my current job for almost two years now. About a year ago this time I started to stress out and try to avoid working. Every two to three weeks I would find an excuse to come in late or not come in at all. It has been that way ever since. Since I am a full time highschool, going to College, student, I only work about 3 days a week, 24 hours or so. One night being 6 hours, two being 8 (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday). This Pizza Hut I work at we only work on our feet, through the entire day. Not once are we allowed to sit down during these hours and no breaks are given. When asked to take a break my manager laughs then tells me, "You're such a young guy, you have a lot of energy!", which clearly I do not because when I get home I die on my bed and sleep for almost 10-14 hours.

The stress I get comes everyday. I will get home on a Saturday night, go to sleep then follow my regular routine through Sunday. The same night I will begin to worry that Monday is my only free day. Then Tuesday comes and I stress all day about work. At work I usually go through a few moods. I begin in an optimistic mood, thinking the day will go great. I will then move on to an irritated mood where things start to get over my head and out of control, then I get angry, followed by sadness and depression for the rest of the day. This will usually lace together with anger and sadness, depending on the situation, but it's one or the other constantly. As soon as I leave work that stress is gone.

I usually cope with the stress with a natural medicine. But when I talk to my doctor I ask for medication to help me with my anxiety and stress but she denies me and tells me I am too young (17 atm) for it and tells me to "Deal with it." which makes me cry a bit, not going to lie.

Anyone know how I can deal with this better or if I should just quit without another job ready... so far the money I get just goes in my pocket and pays for my car's gas, my food, my game hobby and my computer hobby. If I were to quit I'd be out of gas and my food. The rest I could deal with.

Any help?

If you really hate where you work, then there are plenty of other opportunities to make cash. If you're into artwork, then you could sell art or something. Or perhaps there is a movie theater you could work at near you. You said you had a computer hobby. You could design programs and such. You could even make a mobile app. Those can make some pretty good money sometimes.

Also, the doctor really shouldn't deny you medicine like that. Maybe you should try a different doctor.

^^Basically said anything I was going to. And that really is irresponsible of the doctor to turn you down like that :/
You know we're all here to talk to whenever you need - good luck, I hope you find something less stressful to work in!
